Islas Canarias. Experience in wine ...

In the Canary Islands may drink wine for many years ago. 


After the conquest, Euopeans citizens settled in Islas Canarias. Brought their wines from their countries of origin and planted here due Islas Canarias had many hours of sun and water. Transport was complicated; only by boat, bottles of wine exports came not in optimum condition. Thus, the foreigns brought here and planted their own vines. This meant that after the expansion of phylloxera in Europe, Islas Canarias were preserved ancient strains giving character to the grapes canary in different varieties.

We can find wine at all islands except Fuerteventura, but this gives us a perfect cheese, know as Queso Majorero, to accompany the fine wines canaries.

It is also important to note that in the islands is very traditional drink  wine in the winery where is the plantation. Thus, we can share laughs with friends overgood wine and good beef and pork fried black canary.

The way to grow the grapes is very different in the islands: the most original is in Lanzarote, where they use the lapilli, 'picon', to absorb condensed water during the night. That's happens in the area known as La Geria .
